As you begin your building experience, you will have many decisions to make,
ensuring that the finished product meets all your needs. You can build from
stock plans, make minor revisions with an architect, or have Vince's own designer
draw plans just for you. This personalized service will continue throughout
the entire building process. Working along side Vince is Ron Miller, a 27 year
Ghiloni employee who supervises every job. Unlike most builders, Vince does
not believe in allowing subcontractors to bog down the construction of your
home; rather, a crew of ten highly skilled craftsmen performs much of the work.
Many of Vince's employees have been with the company for more than 10 years,
including Vern Russell, the area's finest cabinet builder, and John Modesitt,
who builds the custom decks and exterior trim details. Vince even employs his
own painting crew; this way they can deliver the finest of finishes on your
home's woodwork and walls.
While
his work crew is important, Vince values one employee more than any
other, his wife, Maryjane. Maryjane Ghiloni is Vice President of
Ghiloni Custom Builders and mother of the couple's three children.
She works in partnership with the homeowners of the eight to ten
homes Vince builds each year. Maryjane works with you to select materials,
discuss decorating ideas, and manage your budget. She will help devise
a color scheme or file necessary zoning permits, anything to make
the process as personal and painless as possible for you.
If you are still not convinced of the personal touch of Ghiloni Custom Builders,
consider the cabinetry. Vince's own master craftsmen will build you cabinets,
but only after they are drawn on the walls for your approval. As Vince says,
"It's more personal -the owner can watch the process." Ghiloni Custom Builders
wants a challenge. Feel free to challenge Vince while he builds your home. "If
a homeowner can show us a picture of something they want, we can do it!" If
you're not sure what you want, ask Vince, he has an uncanny ability to make
designs "flow" and an imagination like Walt Disney.
Do you want a fireman's pole between floors? Or perhaps cork flooring may interest
you. How about a bookcase with a hidden passage to the Library, or a TV screen
that magically appears on the wall. It may sound unusual, but Vince has filled
such requests.
With average price ranges from $500,000 up to $4.5 million, Ghiloni Custom Builders
is not for everyone. The low-maintenance, energy- efficient homes may cost a
little more because as Vince says, "we build for the elite." The finished product
you see is important, but Vince believes much of the cost and associative value
of a home is what you don't see. Things like 2 x 6 exterior walls, steel reinforcement
in concrete, lifetime waterproof foundations and added insulation. "Our clients
expect more and we deliver."
"We're fortunate that with our reputation and ability we can be
somewhat selective about the homes we build, and our process dictates
that we can only build 10 to 12 homes per year."
Vince's list of credentials are impressive, including the first builder from
the state of Ohio to be included in the National Association of Home Builders'
prestigious "Builder 20 Club."
Vince's philosophy on building homes is very simple. "We work as a team and a
big part of the team is the homeowners themselves. Our
product must be unique. Call Vince or Maryjane today to tour someone else's dream
home. You will no doubt be ready to begin construction on yours!
