I first noticed Ghiloni builders when I was looking for a possible home as we relocated from Minnesota back to Ohio. I noticed that the better homes for sale in the area were proud to note that what they were selling was a Ghiloni home. I checked out the Ghiloni-custom-builders.com web site and then sent them an e-mail. That weekend, Vince Ghiloni and I drove around in his pick-up truck as he showed me the work that he and his crew have done. Although we were looking at the homes only from the outside, it was clear that they were well constructed and stood out as quality homes. I also took a tour of Vince and Maryjane's home as it was recently completed and represented the quality home Ghiloni would build for us. I was impressed. A few months later we acquired land and Vince won the contract. Vince and Maryjane stood out compared to the competition from the beginning. The contracts were written without legaleeze and included examples of color pictures of door knobs, bathroom fixtures, finishes etc. Checklists with timetables were included so that the decision making process and time commitments were clear. Other selling points included; that Maryjane would be on all the shopping trips to provide advice and help keep the construction within budget, and that Vince has his own staff of cabinet makers, finish workers and even a stone mason. Our experience was even better than we expected. The quality staff took the extra time to make sure that our home was unique and represented the look we were after. A custom hidden door was no problem and turned out very impressive. We wanted nice wooden lockers for the kids and as we began to describe them on-site, Vince's staff explained what they had in mind. It was nicer and better thought out than we were envisioning. This happened time and time again during the building process. The creativity that was put into our home came about because of such an innovative and creative team with strong experience working together and under Vince's solid leadership. Our project was completed when promised and any budget changes were known up front and were as a result of selections we made. We are now proud to be owners of a Ghiloni custom-built home and we strongly recommend Vince Ghiloni and Ghiloni Custom Builders for a Pacesetter Award. Tim & Shelley McCord |
